Resolves DNA and RNA fragments >1,000 bp. Ideal for recovery of DNA fragments after electrophoresis as it melts at ~65.5C (below Tm of most nucleic acids). Solution remains fluid at 37C, but will set rapidly at temperatures below 25C.
