Advanced D-MEM (Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium) is a defined media formulation designed to reduce significantly the amount of serum required for cultivating mammalian cell in vitro. This enhanced standard basal formulation allows for a 50 - 80% reduction in the required serum supplementation with no cell adaptation needed. Suitable for the growth of maintenance of a variety of common cell lines including MDBK Hep-2 COS-7 A549 MDCK WI-38 and others this medium supports cell growth and morpholigical characteristics of both adherent and non-adherent cell lines. It is formulated without L-glutamine for increased stability. Supplementation with L-glutamine is required. Recommended concentration of serum is 1 - 5%; the concentration must be adjusted for each individual cell line to achieve optimal results.
