Protein A Agarose is suitable for purifying IgG molecules from a variety of species, fractionation of IgG fragments, fractionation of cells tagged with IgG, and isolation of antigen-antibody complexes. In addition, Protein A interacts with some classes of IgM and IgA. The matrix consists of purified Protein A covalently attached to cross-linked 4% agarose beads using the cyanogen bromide method. Protein A Agarose can bind >18 mg of human IgG/ml of gel. Performance and Quality Testing Binding capacity for human IgG is determined by affinity chromatography.
