Mortars are constructed of chemical porcelain and feature a lip and a glazed exterior. Pestles are constructed entirely of chemical porcelain or with a porcelain grinding head and wooden handle. Wooden handle is not autoclavable. Pestles are also glazed to grinding surface and oversized for hand comfort.
