Registering as a Customer
The first step is to register as a customer by clicking on "Register" on the MedStore toolbar. Please be sure to fill out the registration form completely and accurately. Within one hour of registering you will receive a confirmation phone call at the contact number that you provided and will be able to use your account immediately after that.
Logging In
The login link is located on the MedStore toolbar. Please note that the password field is case sensitive (capital letters must be in upper case). If your login fails you should call Customer Service at 416-946-7197.
Logged In
Once you are logged in successfully the word "Welcome" and then your name will appear in the top right corner. You are now ready to shop and there are four ways to search for product:
Search by Keyword
You will notice a white box with the word search beside it in the top right corner. This is the search box. To use this search simply enter the product number or a word that is contained in the product description. For example if you were looking for large latex gloves simply type "latex" and the word "gloves" or for a more refined search type "large latex gloves"
Search by Product Number
If you know the suppliers product number simply enter this number into the search box and your product should appear in the search results.
Search by Product Categories
A Product Categories box will appear on the left side of the Catalog main page. By clicking on appropriate categories and sub-categories you can list the products that are appropriate to each category.
Using Search Filters
When search results are viewed, filter options will appear just above your search results. If you are searching through gloves and wish to view only a specific brand or manufacturer, the filter options can quickly display the desired products.
In-Stock and Special Order Products
There are two types of products available through MedStore:
In-Stock Products are indicated by a number in the "Available" column and are available for immediate delivery.
Special Order products are indicated by delivery information in the "Available" column and will be delivered or sorted for pick-up within the times stated. If you selected the pick-up option you will receive a telephone call when the product is available for pick-up.
If you wish your search results to contain in-stock products only select the "Stock Only" option which is highlighted in red in the categories box. If you wish your search results to contain all products select "ALL".
Building Your Shopping Cart
Once you have found the product you wish to purchase simply click on the "Add To Order" box. The shopping cart will automatically assume that you want to purchase a quantity of one. This can be updated by changing the number in the quantity box and clicking on "Update Quantity". If you wish to search for and add additional product simply click on "Continue Shopping". To checkout simply select a delivery or pickup and select your payment type then click on "Confirm Order". You will also be given the opportunity to change your delivery address or write in special instructions for the person handling your order.
Once you have confirmed your order you are brought to the final screen. In this screen you need to confirm that all of the details are correct (product quantity, payment type, delivery address etc). If you need to make a correction you can click on the browsers back arrow to make your changes. Once you have selected "Process Order" you will be taken to a screen that provides order details and also allows you the option of printing a receipt.
